About the Artist
Now calling St. Croix home, Theda Sandiford is an award-winning fiber and installation artist whose work is as vibrant and complex as the island itself. She is renowned for her "social practice" art, which often involves transforming found materials and "trash" into breathtaking, large-scale sculptures and woven installations. By blending traditional techniques with modern storytelling, Sandiford explores themes of identity, social justice, and collective memory.
